BR Machine Strengthens Its Commercial and Operational Leadership with the Appointment of Alec Devall as Commercial Director

January 2026 | Baton Rouge, LA – BR Machine: A Division of In-Place Machining Company (IPM) based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alec Devall to the role of Commercial Director. With extensive experience spanning industrial operations, business systems, data analytics, and commercial execution, Mr. Devall will play a key role in aligning sales strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth initiatives.

In this role, Mr. Devall will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies that support stable growth within BR Machine’s existing customer base while identifying opportunities in key growth markets. He will work closely with the senior management and sales leadership to improve forecasting, pipeline visibility, pricing discipline, and CRM adoption. A core focus of this role will be bridging the gap between operations and sales to improve efficiency, process alignment, and quality outcomes across the business, while strengthening collaboration between commercial and operational teams.

Mr. Devall previously served as Director of Operations at BR Machine, where he partnered closely with Eric Antoon, Vice President & General Manager, to lead day-to-day operations for a specialized industrial machining and field services organization supporting critical rotating equipment. In this capacity, he played a key role in driving P&L performance through operational strategy, systems optimization, and disciplined execution, while translating strategic objectives into executable operating plans.

During his tenure as Director of Operations, Mr. Devall owned core business systems and process architecture, including ERP platforms, scheduling, quoting, purchasing, inventory control, and operational reporting. He worked extensively with sales and estimating teams to improve quote accuracy, margin visibility, and throughput from opportunity to execution, while leading operational planning, capacity management, and resource allocation to balance customer demand with labor and equipment constraints.

Prior to joining BR Machine, Mr. Devall held roles with Turner Industries Group and ExxonMobil, where he supported large-scale, safety-critical industrial operations. His experience spans business analytics, ERP development, mobile application deployment for field operations, turnaround planning, refinery console supervision, and emergency response leadership. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to translate complex operational and commercial data into actionable insights that support safety, reliability, and business performance.

Mr. Devall holds a Master of Science in Business with a concentration in Data Analytics from Texas A&M University–Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from Louisiana State University. He is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and maintains multiple NFPA and FEMA certifications related to incident management, safety leadership, and emergency response.

In his new role as Commercial Director, Mr. Devall will foster collaboration across the In-Place Machining Company divisions to support coordinated sales and marketing initiatives, represent BR Machine in key customer and industry engagements, and provide regular reporting on commercial KPIs to executive leadership.

Dean Flint, CEO of In-Place Machining Company, commented, “Alec has been instrumental in strengthening BR Machine’s operational foundation. His deep understanding of the business, combined with his commercial insight and systems expertise, makes him uniquely qualified to help drive the next phase of growth for BR Machine and the broader IPM organization.”

Please join us in congratulating Alec Devall on his new role and wishing him continued success as Commercial Director. Mr. Devall can be reached at 225.775.2542 ext. 1014 or adevall@brmachine.com.
